Spikey has passed away. Our 8th bunniversary would have been May 2nd. He was about 9 years old, since I got him at a rescue. He lost the use of his legs to arthritis and encroaching neurological damage. A (3rd recently) vet visit on friday 4/21/23 decisively bad. I held my boy in my arms as he went.

My heart is broken. I am crying frequently. It is the price I pay for love I could never have lived without. No bunny could ever be as great as my Spike. (pix 4/21/23, 2021, 2022)

I’m so sorry, Pam. I remember when you got him and we all tried to help figure out a name for him. He was beautiful 💔

Lovely, lovely Spikey. I’m sure he loved having you there as he passed to the other side of the rainbow bridge– how full of love he must of felt.  Binky free, and many hugs to you Pam.

Thank you all for your support and kind words. I’m finding it hard living our daily life without him. I glanced in his direction about a thousand times a day.

Pam, I am so sorry you had to say goodbye to your dear boy. This is so sad. Why must they get old?
Spike was lucky to have someone who knew how to help him through those challenges. You’d been down that road before.

I know he would have help you through your own hard days, just by being his sweet, bunny self.
I’m grateful you had years with him when he provided so much joy. Little “ghost” bunny.

                    Bunky Free, sweet Spikey!
