Hello, I have two rabbits that I cannot properly bond until they are both spayed but as of now only one can be because of age. Knala is peeing and pooping outside of the litterbox, sometimes a lot since I was on a 10 day out of state trip. And because of a new younger rabbit everytime I try to let her out of her cage she also pees from territorial issues. After recovery from spaying, will spaying only one of them result in improper bonding? They are both female. Thank you!

              Are they sharing a room?

Unbonded rabbits in the same room will do a lot of territorial marking with pee and poop, so this is most likely what’s causing it. You can’t litter train buns out of hormonally pooping.

If you manage to bond them, the behaviour will decrease, but of course that can’t be done until they’re both spayed. If you only spay one then the other rabbit will remain hormonal and territorial, and they will be likely to fight.
