SOOOO ANGRY!!!

So awhile back before I got Harley I was lookin into getting another bunny. I came across a lady who was getting rid of her two bonded buns because she did not have the “time” for them. She went on and one about them and what she did for them and they were so healthy etc. I just looked on Rabbit Rescue and they are on there and NOT healthy, these poor buns I kick myself now for not acting sooner as I feel horrible for them.

MAKES me so angry that one could lie etc just so they did not have the burden of them. GRRRRRRRRRR

Some people just don’t care about animals. They do terrible things to them or dump them. It’s highly upsetting. I just don’t get it though, if they don’t care, then why do they have to have them??

why are they unhealthy? does the site say what the health issue is? is it chronic… or? im not trying to defend her, i don’t know the situation or what the issues were, but not all people are as observant as we are, so depending on what the health problem is, it might have been something she did not realize was going on. bunnies hide illness very, very well, so they might not have been VISIBLY sick. maybe she took them there and the health problems were discovered later once the vet examined them. it seems like she cared enough about them to at least try to rehome them, and then finally give them to a rescue… much better than dumping outside or giving to just anyone…

There is alot more to the story I did not think was fair for me to publish. She was really rabbit savy and one bun even was adopted from Rabbit Rescue. One of the issues was sore hocks and toe nails SUPER long. She had them for a couple years she was on all boards seemed awesome had everything and anything she could for these babies and theyw ere evenf ree range most of the time.

aw i see. well, i guess that’s always a possibility. like i said, i wasn’t trying to defend her per se, but i just know that not everything is obvious when it comes to different health issues. that’s very true that sometimes people will either tire of taking care of a pet day in day out, or the rest of their life gets too hectic and they can’t keep up. that will happen sometimes, esp. when people get a new job, get married, or have babies. at least they’re at a rescue now that can care for them and get those issues resolved. i know with some buns sore hocks are chronic (like with my mini rex), but you’re right, there’s no reason for the nails to be untrimmed.
