<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hello, I noticed Venti was scratching her right ear a lot this morning and when I took a look this is what I saw! (see photo). What is that?! I set an appointment but the earliest they had was next Monday. :-/ She’s still eating and sleeping normally, but I still don’t like the look of it.

It’s smooth looking. Maybe a cyst?

It is smooth and SUPER hard. If you look real close it has little yellow crust like things on the corners. I have no idea what this is.

So the vet says it look like scarred tissue. She said it’s not on the corner of her ear so she’s not worried. It doesn’t want to flake off, Venti isn’t bothered by her touching it. So she just told me to watch it just incase but she’s almost certain it’s scared tissue. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My oldest bun has had several of these, like tiny round ball embedded in his ear, his whole life since he’s been with me. It’s never bothered him (just me because I always want to pick it off). I’ve never even thought to ask the vet; they just look, feel, and move on.
