Some Close Calls

So i was in the internet the other day reading this story and i couldn’t beleive what had happened so i go hmmm maybe this could be a good topic to hear other people talk about and see if they have any nutty stories.

So all you pretty much have to do is tell a close call with your bunny you have had?

i am shure there are some scary and funny stories out there, let’s hear em!!

Well, last Saturday, I was in the kitchen and my BF Mike was cleaning & vaccuuming the cages… and Bungee escaped out of the slider!

Mike yelled to me, and I lept over our fence in my bare socks, and captured her. But it was just barely! I was so mad at him for letting her sneak out!!!

(There has been a significant hole in the screen door that “we” have been delaying fixing…)

ok so we’ve moved into an old house that need doing up and we’ve got the tv on a chest in an alcove, theres only 1 socket so we have an extention lead to cope with all the technologies of the modern world.  There is a gap down the side of the chest that we’ve wedged a wooden box in….. only Mable and Booboo like to dig at it… anyway to cut a long story short, i was on the internet (probably this site) and didn’t realise it had gone quite…. Hubby comes in and asks where Mable is…….she had pulled the box out (god knows how) and was sitting chewing on the extention cable!!!!!!!!  WE WERE VERY LUCKY, she’d chewed through the outer sheath, gnorred on the earth AND the neutral through to the wire but hadn’t touched the live!!!!!! PHEW  lots of bad language could be heard after :o(

Booboo has chomped the telephone wire in half 3 times (we’ve nailed it up near the ceiling until the renovation is complete)

We have those cardboard tubes made for pouring. Anyway, the bunnies love them to explore, but I make sure to put something in them now to make it easier for bunnies to run in, or I scrape up the inside a bit to offer traction BECAUSE –

One day as Rucy was going in one side, Jack was going in the other, and Rucy decided to back out, but I guess it was a bit slippery, and she lost her footing and then as she tried to regain her traction, she just started slipping even more, this scared Jack who backed out just fine (he’s bigger/heavier) and he started thumping, which made Rucy freak out even more and she now found herself upside down slip sliding around.  I was afraid she was going to literally get scared to death, but I couldn’t reach her inside of the tube, so I just picked up and slowly turned it vertical so she’d safely slide out.

The whole thing actually could have been funny – and well, it kind of is now – NOW that she’s safe, but at the time she was so frantic, so scared, I was worried for her health.
