Some bunny-proofing questions

We’ve recently moved to a new apartment, and I’m having a little bit of trouble figuring out how to bunny-proof the place.

Used to be, they only stayed in my bedroom. There was just one outlet, and all the cables and whatnot were behind furniture anyway, so it was pretty easy to block off all access.

Our apartment building was built in the 30’s, and everything’s all wonky. All the outlets are at random heights, and they all stick out from the wall, so we can’t even put furniture in front without leaving enough room for an adventurous bunny.

The best I can do is mount power strips about 16″ off the ground.

Is that high enough to keep the rabbits off? It’s a bit of a stretch for our tiny lionhead, and our baby. We don’t know if the baby is gonna be a normal size bun, so I’m not sure if that’s high enough. 

I had another idea, but I’m not sure if it’s a very good one..

Since TC rattles her cage with enough enthusiasm to wake the dead, I thought I’d take some screen and attach it to the inside of her cage, so she can’t even get her teeth on anything.

My first thought is to use fine metal screening, but I’m afraid she might get one wire loose and hurt herself 

I’m not sure what they use on windows and doors, but I think it’s some kind of synthetic? Like nylon strips or something? I think she’d just tear that apart.

It drives me absolutely crazy. She’ll have food and veggies, and free run of the entire kitchen, but she’ll just hop right in her cage and try to pull the walls down.

She -knows- she’s not supposed to. If I walk up to her cage, she’ll stop and run to her litter box. They’re like 2 year olds

I would get some cord protectors to go around the cords so she won’t be able to chew them apart.
