Some bunnies mad…

So the bunnies got in trouble last night -apparently they pulled out the bunny proofing and got behind the couch…so dave put them on lock down!! He put them in their condo and locked them up!! They really didn’t seem to care -they hang out in there a lot anyways so I played along with Dave

 

Then when I got home today, I got my camera ready and let them out. Figured they’d be running and binkying…Instead Rupert stomped for fifteen minutes, until I pulled him out for a cuddle!! We didn’t even know he could stomp!!

Hahah he’s still not speaking to me!! I did see him do a huge flop last night-very cute! When I ‘oooh’d’ he got up and gave me the butt!

You know, it’s funny…I always thought bunnies thumped like what you see on t.v. Rapid fire.

But if you want to hear thumping, I need to get a recording of when Pip gets hacked off and starts thumping at me. With her pen being on top of Mimzy’s, and having that plastic bottom and metal bars right underneath…the thumping is sonorous and LOUD. Rings all the way through the house and may as well be a bell in the tower of Notre Dame!

My daughter laughed at this and said, “Kinda reminds you of Bam-Bam from the Flintstones, doesn’t he?”

haha! i know… the “media perception” of thumping is not at all accurate. thank gosh. could you imagine sleeping and you hear rapid thumps, 50 of them in the space of a minute. you’d think your house was under attack! i can deal with one or two…

i know how loud it is! if daxter thumps in his house you can hear it even if i am upstairs its madness

Actually, I couldn’t figure it out the first time I heard it, back when my old cat was still alive and having breathing problems and Mimzy was flipping out every time he came into the room with him, because I thought they thumped in successive foot taps. So when I heard this single, but repetitive, booming noise coming from Mimzy’s pen (didn’t even realize that was what it was at first) I had to come see what horrible thing had happened to him; a book fell? a plushie was attacking him? WHAT?? 0_o
It was touching to realize he was trying to tell me the cat was ill and didn’t have long. I am positive that was the reason.
Pip doesn’t need a reason. She thumps as part of Her Majesty’s Secret Disapproval Service. (Kind of like the saying, “Sarcasm, just another free service I offer.”)
