I just noticed that Waffles has really soft poop and its kinda like paste. He has been running a lot lately when he’s exercising and I have been feeding him oats with banana for the last couple days because he’s a little under weight. Everything he’s been eating is normal. Should I stop the oats and see if his stools change or is there anything I can give him now that will make his poop more solid?

I would stop the oats and banana — banana often gives my bun soft poops, and too much sugar can disrupt the balance of gut flora in bunnies. Bunnies should be eating mainly hay and bunny-friendly fresh greens like romaine and parsley. Others here might have ideas about how to help him gain wait in a healthy way, or you could ask your vet, but I’d stay away from grains and too much fruit, or it might cause more problems than it solves.

          Good luck!

I would completely stop the oats and limit your bunny to a little bit of banana once a week at most when the soft poop goes away. Make sure he has lots of fresh hay and water. If he eats a lot of hay then the soft poop should start to go away.

How old is your bunny? Have you discussed his weight issue with a vet?
