Hi, I read that as a treat for your bunny you could soak wood into applejuice to make the wood tasty. Is this ok to do?

Aha! on the toy test it says that you could soak popsicle sticks in apple juice so I have my reassurance, (I kind of answered my own question.)

yes, this is something you can do. i believe it has to be unsweetened apple juice, and i think what people do is they cook it on the stove, kind of boil the juice and soak the sticks in the hot juice (if you’re under 18, make sure to have your parents permission to use the stove.) keep an eye on the bunny too b/c popsicle sticks can splinter easily.

I have been eating popsicles recently and left a stick on the side table- well smoochies got to it and chewed on it a bit so I decided to try the apple juice thing- but didnt have apple juice so I took a bunch of clean/ bought popsicle sticks and put some strawberries in a cup and mashed them with the sticks.

I gave one to Smooch this morning as a distraction for chewing on people things, and she kinda liked it- perhaps she will like it more when I just leave them around for her instead of giving it to her so that she thinks she is being rebelious when chomping on it.

I have been doing this for years. Take organic apple juice put it on the stove and simmer the wood in the juice for 5 min. The only thing to watch for is that the sticks will eventually grow fungus. If it gets warm enough over time it will grow fuzz. Just something to watch out for.
