So excited to eat, she gets aggressive?

  Mimzy LOVES food time & so does Kenobi but she gets a little crazy about it. Once they have the food in front of them, she’s fine & there is no fighting whatsoever over the food or aggression over the food.
  
  The problem I have is when I’m about to feed them, they know the sound of the food container, what it looks like, & where I keep it, so they both know when I’m about to feed them. Mimzy gets very excited that she’s about to get her pellets that if Kenobi comes over, she lunges at him & chases him around the room until I put it down. It doesn’t look like it’s done in a playful manner, & Obi doesn’t really enjoy it so he tries hiding. I think she just gets so excited she can’t contain herself & doesn’t what else to do? I feel bad for Obi, so sometimes I will pick her up while I scoop the food out just so she won’t go after him, but does anyone know of any other solutions? How do I get her to not chase him?
  
  Other than this, they’re absolutely in love & never aggressive to each other.

  Does he come out and eat with her after the food gets put down? Do they settle down after you feed them?
  
  My bonded rabbits occasionally squabble when it’s feeding time and I know other people with bonded rabbits that have seen the same type of behavior with their pairs/groups. I think it’s normal and as long as they’re not fighting it’s probably not much to worry about.

  My bonded pair are the same way. They run circles around my feet, and Marlee will nip Moshi’s butt — he’ll just push her out of his way. They do this until I can get their bowls set down and then they’re happy as can be.
  
  As long as he comes to eat once the food is out and no one is getting hurt, they are probably ok like MD said. They’ve probably forgotten all about it once yummy is in the tummy!

  Yes, after the food is set down, they both eat & there’s no more squabbling.
  Well at least it sounds normal then! I just felt bad for him because he never sticks up for himself when Mimzy bosses him around lol. There’s no injuries at all when she does this, possibility she might nip him but I think that’s about it.
  
  From what you both have told me, doesn’t sound like I have anything to worry about then, so thank you!
