  Snickers has passed to the Rainbow Bridge. We just got back from the emergency vet. We don’t know for sure what happened, and it happened so fast, but the vet was very rabbit savvy, and he said she wasn’t savable. She started to convulse on the table, and we asked for her to be put to sleep. We had brought Murray, her other bonded half, and he said goodbye. It was all so sad.
  
  I don’t know what else to say. Thank you for the comments and advice earlier. I really appreciate it!

  Oh, I am just so sorry! Rabbit health can be just so baffling sometimes. You can do everything right and things just take a turn for the worst. You gave Snickers a wonderful life and she now is at peace. I lit a candle for her at http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/message.cfm?l=eng&cid=7145023

  I am so sorry to hear that Snickers is gone. Most people would not understand how a bunny could touch your heart like Snickers has obviously touched yours- but everyone here on BinkyBunny knows how special rabbits are! (and how much it hurts to lose one). You did everything possible for your beloved bunny and I know Snickers was thankful for your care and mercy at the end.

  Renee I am so sorry to hear that Snickers has crossed the bridge. It seems like only a short time ago you had posted about how you bonded her with Murray. I was wondering why I hadn’t seen any posts by you for awhile.

  I’m so sorry to hear this happened!! *HUGS* to you and your famiily. It’s terribly heart breaking when they go. It’s hard even to post about it right away; I’m glad you and Murry were with Snickers when he had to leave for Rainbow bridge-that’s so important to know your loved when you leave this world
  
  If Snickers could speak to you, he would thank you for loving him and giving him such a wonderful home. I’ve no question. My Kokanee will be waiting for him at the bridge.

  i’m very sorry to hear this. Snickers had a wonderful, caring home with you, and now she is healthy again over that bridge. it’s a hard decision to make, but you did what was best. my thoughts are with you and Murray during this difficult time.

  Oh noooo. It must have been a relief for Snickers when convulsing on the table to be put down right away. I am so sorry for you loss. Poor Snickers. Laith will be waiting for Snickers too and he and K can show her around. Buns are such beautiful yet delicate little creatures. You did your best really you did.
  
  Just know you did your best. After we lose a bun we tend to ask what we could have done better or different. Don’t put yourself through that. It was Snickers time to say goodbye. And her bunny friend was there with you and your hubby. I am glad you all had the chance to say goodbye to her.

  Yes, we gave Snickers the best goodbye we could, given the circumstances.
  
  It was actually comforting to think that Kokanee would be there to play with and show Snickers around, thank you.

  Oh, you’re right — I was doubting and blaming myself bigtme. But now that I have had a little bit to think, I don’t think it was anything I did, or didn’t do. And, yes, I’m very grateful I could make her more comfortable on her last day here on earth, and be there to say good bye.

  I am well thanks so much for asking … I was sad when I read your post about Snickers … you had her for a long time … back in the days when we posted on IVillage Bunny Board .
  
  I do hope that you are ok … never easy I know … but all our thoughts are with you.
  
  How is Murray … I hope he does not fret too much.
  
  I hope life is good with you … your man the boys? Are you still working full time?
  
  I have recently moved up into the hills away from the riff raff of the suburbs … I am so happy, however, Luey has settled in well and he has the run of the garden when I am home. He loves it too. Unfortunately, I cannot have him running around in the house … too many stairs and he is a messy bun … but he is inside in an area designated for him … he has a door to go in and outside when I am home. He has taken to my veggie patch and has made himself comfy in a spot under the brocolli plants.
