Eddie had a sneezing fit yesterday.   He is fine – no eye or nose discharge or changes with his eating/pooping or other behaviors.  So he must’ve just had something tickle his nose.   I was just wondering if there’s something I could’ve done to help him out?   I know that seems odd.  lol  But I don’t like my bunnies to be uncomfortable or anything.  Yeah, I’m weird and a dork.  lol

I asked him if he was ok and he gave me the stink face and the “I’m fine” look that he gives me when he is fine but I make a fuss cause I think there’s something wrong.

Like when I freaked out and thought he was dead when he did the roadkill position 3 days after I got him.  I seriously thought he’d dropped dead of a heart attack or something.  He was hopping around and I looked away for a second and look back and he’s flat on his side, not moving.  So I run over and feel him all over to see if i could tell if something was wrong or feel his heart or anything.  He popped up to siting position and gave me the stink face and the “I’m fine. leave me alone” look and hopped off.  So he’s used to me freaking out over him from a young age for no reason whatsoever.  LOL

Rabbits sneeze, just like people do. It was probably just an irritant, some dust or a bit of hay in his nose. If he starts sneezing excessively and/or you notice a runny discharge from his nose/eyes/mouth, or if his eating/drinking/pooping becomes abnormal, take him in for a check-up at your vet.

ok, so there’s nothing i can really do unless he’s actually sick. lol Just making sure. I tend to overreact and worry.

I pick him up often and there’s been no discharge of any kind and he’s eating normally and pooping, so I’m pretty sure he’s fine. If anything, I may need to get the humidifier out cause both of them seem to be scratching at their ears more and running the humidifier seems to help.

Ear scratching can also be a sign of an infection or mites. When was the last time they were both in to the vet for a check-up?
