I have recently noticed my bunny Bifur is dropping a few smaller poop pellets. Not all his pellets are small, in fact, a majority of them are normal, but enough of them are small to worry me a little as this is not normal for him. I understand that this could be a sign that his gastrointestinal tract is slowing down which in turn could be the early signs of GI Stasis, but he is not exhibiting any of the other signs. He still plays and binkies and flops and even buzzes every time he’s at my feet. His diet is very stable as well. He is a very picky bunny, so he only eats Leafy Green Lettuce as his greens and 1/4th cup of pellets each day alongside his unlimited supply of fresh timothy hay. I should mention that he likes to eat everything I drop on the ground, food or not. I do vacuum every day but he managed to find a rubber elastic and I’m 90% sure he ate it. I couldn’t get to it in time, he took off under the dresser and the elastic was gone. I’m just a little concerned that he’s getting sick and I’m missing the signs because if there are any, he’s doing a fantastic job at hiding them. Anyway, any information or advice is greatly appreciated!

Nice name Bilfur
I’d give him gas drops just to be on the safe side. You can never be too cautious with buns. But I think it’s a good sign that he’s normal otherwise. My boys tend to get smaller drops every now and then, and I’ve really gotta watch Bombur cause he does get stasis frequently/easily. Gas drops usually help bring the problem back to normal.

True to form, he eats like a pig and is the chubbiest Holland Lop with orange fur. So he definitely lives up to the name
