Hi everyone, my bunny Seal had some tummy issues last night and it was 1:40 AM when i gave him his last dose of baby gas medicine. At 4 am i woke up to check up on him and he was still in his hidey box like when i left him. This morning at 7:30 he was out of his box and running around. He has been eating hay non stop but I’ve noticed his poops are really small. Does this require a vet visit or will his poops continue to grow the more hay he eats?

I would also like to add he hasn’t drank any water.

It sounds like he had an episode of gas that caused some gut slow down, but the fact that he’s running around and tucking into his hay is a great sign. It sounds like the episode has passed, so as long as he’s eating his poops should get bigger.

I would keep an eye on him and make sure things continue to improve, the poops should get bigger in a couple hours.

You can give him some wet salad as well if you suspect any dehydration.
