Forum DIET & CARE small poopies?

        my bunny has not been eating all that great last few days and his poopies are really small and hard.  he gets pineapple 2x a week and a sliver of apple and also laxatone, he shouldnt be blocked.  any suggestions?

          Hi Angela,  your rabbit needs to see a vet.

          Actually the pineapple and laxatone are very old fashioned and are not recommended to help keep a rabbit’s gi tract healthy.   He needs to see a vet as soon as possible – he probably needs fluids and gut motility drugs if he is going into stasis.

          Can you also tell us what his regular diet is?

            I too would like to know what his regular diet consists of, that may help. I agree with Sarita, get him in to see a vet, he may have a partial blockage and be headed towards a bout of GI stasis. He needs fiber to get things moving on through.
