        Hi Guys,

When I went in to feed Stella & Luna their dinner tonight, I noticed a very, very  small bald patch on  Stella’s left ear.  I’m just guessing this is from Luna grooming her.  She even let me touch her to see if there was anything wrong.  I rubbed the ear and looked inside the ear canal, but could see or smell nothing.  I don’t think it’s anything serious, but I will keep an eye on it.  Otherwise, she’s fine…drinking, eating and pooping just great!

        Any thoughts?

Oh! this just happened with Thumper, but her bald patch was right next to her scent glands, on her behind.

I read as much as I could about bunnie bald spots on the Internet that I could find, and decided to just monitor it, as the skin underneath still looked healthy.

The fur has now grown back almost completly (it’s been about 2 weeks). I think it’s because she was going through a big shed, which seems to be normal as long as it grows back normally. Overgrooming can also be a reason, that I read about.

So, I’d suggest to just keep checking on it, and don’t worry unless it doesn’t start growing back soon… I posted a thread about this about a week ago, think it’s titled “help, bald bunny!”

It sounds like you have things well in hand. Keep an eye on it for any changes and make sure that Luna isn’t over-grooming Stella. If it is then we may need to think about taking some further steps.
