Hi all! I checked on the bunnies about 12:30am last night and came across Piper sleeping like this:

When I took the picture, the flash must have woken her slightly because then she flopped forward and slept more “normal”. At first I was worried, but she seemed perfectly fine afterwards, and perfectly fine this morning! Do I just have a strange bun?

Edit: sigh, i thought I had the picture thing figured out, hopefully the link works, sorry guys.

She looks like she fell back asleep in the middle of eating a cecal!   Seems like a very baby bunny thing to do

Buns often will sleep, then wake up slightly and eat their cecals straight from their bums, then go back to sleep. Looks like she was just so sleepy she fell asleep in the middle of the process. Reminds me of a kid falling asleep in their spaghetti

I agree with Dana. Seems like a baby thing. Super cute!!

Reminds me of my lazy cat. Sometimes he falls alseep in weird positions while washing.

When I first saw her I wondered if she was grooming herself, but then I realized she was sleeping! I’m just learning about cecotropes, I guess that why they call them night droppings too, haha!! Piper is such a goofy bunny, she also will sometimes roll completely over when she flops, it’s hilarious! I hope I can get a video of it one day.
