I have two rabbits (male & female both neutered/spayed) I’ve been bonding for a couple months. I have a shared gate (that they can’t bite through) and lately my male rabbit has gone from just sleeping next to the gate to also doing binkies next to it. Is there any time a binkie can be considered a territorial move or is it likely he’s just playing with my female? Thanks for the help!

It sounds likes he is playing with the female! Maybe try putting them in a netural spot overnight? Sounds like it is going good so it might be a good idea to try… but I don’t know much about what is going on when they are in the same spot so only if you think that they are ready ready.

Binkies can be playing, and also a dominance display! It’s not uncommon to see binkies during bonding sessions. Not necessarily aggressive, but saying “look how strong I am and how much I am not phased by you!”
