Tonight I noticed that while Lola was flopped over and sleeping, she was twitching quite a bit. Her twitches were more like body twitches and leg twitches, so I was just wondering if that’s normal? I know that some bunnies have bunny dreams, and I’ve caught Louie twitching a little bit in his sleep, but Lola’s twitching was more prominent, so I just wanted to check in.

Rabbits do twitch while they sleep, so it’s completely normal.

@Louiethebunny I have a bun who snores too! 😆 (Well, on her behalf, I only caught her doing it once 😉 )

It is so charming to get to see, when you know its normal and perfectly healthy 😍

I think it depends on the dream and how deeply they are sleeping too. Sometimes you just see nose and cheek twitches. Sometimes you get the foot and body twitches too.

I bet she was dreaming about binkying around her lovely new home 🙂

Aww thanks! I’m so glad it’s normal, because now I can watch her sleep peacefully and not be tempted to check up on her every five minutes.

Just wait until you see her sleeping with her eyes open, full body twitches. I guarantee you’ll be compelled to poke her just to be sure!

😀 Louie is an eye-open sleeper, and he has light brown eyes, so when he sleeps all flopped over in the sunlight, I get worried, but he’s always fine. Lola sleeps with her eyes closed, but every now and then I catch her dozing off while sitting up with her eyes open, and it’s a funny sight.
