Layla is developing quite the little personality.  She’s so funny cause when I come home from work at the end of the day and I let her out of her condo, she runs around like a crazy….  jumping on the bed, jumping off, binky binky, circles around my shoes, back on the bed, into my lap for a quick pet, then into her condo for a lap up the levels and back down and out to do another binky…  I love her energy, especially after being at work all day.  She makes me laugh out loud everyday.

She’s also started doing something new…  When I come home but haven’t opened her condo yet, she’ll just stand inside the door (Where’s there some overhead space) and jump up and down over and over again until I left her out…  if I don’t right away, she grunts.  I didn’t know bunnies could grunt!  Ha.  My little diva.

Ooohhh! Get used to that grunt! Specially when they work out you understand it!! It’s one of Jerseys chief ways of communicating with me
Funnily thou, the other day she squeezed passed me to escape outside into the rain. I let out my own growl in frustration and I swear, she stopped in her tracks and came back inside!! :|)
Isn’t it great how they express themselves. Layla sounds like a peach!

Really?  That’s good news…  what does that mean, that she can have more freedom?

That’s so cute that she tells you to let her out!  Yay for bouncing bunnies!

I didn’t know bunnies made noise, either, until mine growled at me!  But she’s also done this other noise that maybe is the “grunt” you describe…  I fell asleep on the couch once, and she was out running in circles around the living room.  The she decided it would be fun to jump ON me on the couch, then off, then on again.  And I was TIRED (it was 3am, and she was having so much fun I hated to lock her up in her pen).  So eventually I got used to being used as a bunny-launch-pad, and fell asleep.  Next thing I know, there’s a furball on top of me, thumping and grunting!  I’d had her all of about 2 weeks, and had no idea what in the world she meant!  Then a week later, boyfriend and I were sitting on the couch watching TV (ignoring the Diva-Bunny, according to her), and she came flying up at us, and did the same thump-grunt!  I think it means, “HEY!!!!  I am cute and exciting and HOW DARE YOU not pay attention to ME!!!”

                  Like I said, Diva-Bunny…

Hahaha – diva bunnies are my favorite! Davita – if I may venture a guess, I think that Beka meant that YOUR training is almost complete – AKA, Layla almost has you perfectly trained… Good bunny slave, you may have a treat now
