Little Man has taken up sighing at me when he gets frusterated… it’s pretty recent, but I’m almost sure that’s what it is. He does it when I have been holding him too long or when I put him back in his area after he escapes. It isn’t really audible as much as I can feel it or see him do it.

Does anybody know if this is what’s going on?

        Anybunny else do this?

I have heard  mine do it.  For Cotton it is a sound that means ahh totally relaxed.   For yours it could mean what you think it means.  A sign of relief ehehe.

Honey Bunny is the vocalist bun I have ever had. He honks and snorts.  Hums too.   He has signed b4 too.  For him it means ahhh that feels good I am soo relaxed.

When yours do it after they get away could mean finally.  But then you never know with buns. We need a bun language encylopedia.  Like a french encylopedia from english to french   from bunny to human hehe.

oh gosh having trouble submitting this oh I hope I don’t have to retype all this. I really hate that.  Ok lets see

Is it kind of a quick little breath out his nose? I used to hear that. Really cute.

I’ve seen some of my bunnies’ sighs, as in heaving of the flanks that look like the bunny has just exhaled. As long as the rest of the bunny is relaxed I think it’s all good. My mini-rex tends to whine at me too. Usually when exasperated, but that is accompanied by a loud thump of the feet as well. Then I know I’ve trespassed.
Up until this bunny, I had no idea they could make almost verbal sounds. I’d heard ‘honking’ (or rather humming) but this was a surprise for me.

HUH?  MImzmum I never heard a whine b4.  You have a very interesting bunny there.  I have heard growls grunts hums honks.  Once had a crazy doe that hissed like an angry cat even.  Seems like yours has a good vocabulary heheee.

My two sigh when they ahve been lounging for a while and my favorite is when Bonsai, totally bummed from the turn in weather does a giant flop in the litterbox, puts his chin up on the side of and gives this big sigh. He is very weather sensitive and goes into a funk when it starts snowing so I call him my weather-bunny. When I see him in a funk in the box, I know that there is going to be inclement weather.

Yeah, Little Man has quite the personality…
Just when I think we are starting to understand each other, things get interesting again….. Lately he’s been really willing to sit on my lap and let me pet him for quite a while (that did not happen before his neuter), but he wants nothing to do with me when I’m on the floor now. Also, when he decides it’s time to be put down instead of just wiggling a little like he used to he pretty much gets pissed off and digs like crazy at my belly and then bites before I get a chance to put him on the floor.
Ever since I got him fixed it seems like he’s a new bun from week to week. It hasn’t been that long though, so hopefully he’ll stop being such a teenager pretty soon.

Charlie sighs when he’s hapily lying down and I approach him and lay down next to him. It’s like he’s saying ‘ oh no, not again, why can’t se just leave me alone?!’
