Hello all.  I notice that our bunny sometimes sneezes, several times in  a row.  The last time was in his bunny “condo”…the cardboard maze we bought for him.  I am not too sure if he has allergies or not.  What do you suggest?

        Thanks in advance.

Observe the sneezing, taking note of when it occurs. Is there a nasal discharge? It could be just dust, like for example, when you change the litterbox and he sneezes only then, you’d know it’s just dust. If there ever is any discharge — take him to the vet.

No nasal discharge, he is usually just hanging out with no other activities going on around him at the time…

Rucy, who had teeth issues, would sneeze quite a bit, but she also had a bit a nasal and eye discharge. I remember my vet saying that a bunny sneeze is normal but she would always ask if it was just one or twice or several times in a row and how often.

I agree with Petzy, to start paying close attention from this point on. I know you said just hanging out with no other activities, but over the next week just pay even closer attention (It will either confirm what you are saying or you discover something new)

And of course if things worsen or if he sneezes and then puts his nose up as if to catch his breath, he needs to be taken to a vet asap.

              Keep us updated!

The sneezing several times in a row isn’t the problem as much as the cause, and BB and petzy suggested. My bunny always sneezes several times in a row, but they’re dry sneezes, infrequent, and it’s usually easy to tell why. Watch for the signs BB mentioned.
