  I currently have a neutered male house rabbit, I’m not certain of his exact age, but he’s just under a year old and I’ve had him for 9 months.
  
  I’m trying to convince my boyfriend to let me adopt another rabbit, but he’s unsure as he doesn’t want toilet habbits to go out the window, or for the new bun to be destructive, especially as we live in a rented apartment.
  I’m hopfully going to be getting a full time job soon, so I think it’s very important I get Bunny a companion so he’s not alone whilst I’m working.
  
  I’ve done some research online, but I just wanted to hear what thoughts and tips you guys have, and if you could answer my following questions.
  Am I best getting him a female companion?
  What age range should I be looking at and is there a certain age where it will become impossible to toilet train?
  what’s the best way of getting the buns to bond?
  When can I start giving both bunnies free reign of the house without my constant supervision?
  
  Do you think it’s a good idea? Any any other thoughts and tips you may have as I am a complete newbie to bonding, and I don’t want it to be a stressful experience for either of the rabbits.

  I havent got any experience in bonding buns, but will be following this thread closely as I’m thinking of bonding my male house bunny too!

  Yes, definitely read the link that MoveDiagonally provided.
  
  I do however think your boyfriend’s concerns are very true and you should consider that this might be the case as far as destructiveness and loss of litter habits – it’s a justified concern and many times a reality.
