› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › Short Introduction! LOTS OF PICS!
Just thought I’d quickly introduce myself! I live in Perth, Western Australia and I’m currently finishing up Yr 12. If I ever muster up enough motivation to study for my exams I hope to get into Vet Science next year. I currently own 2 rabbits, 1 cat, 2 guinea pigs and 5 mice….(sorry about the large pics)
“Puffy” is my very first rabbit and is approximately 2-4yrs old. She’s a cashmere lop and although she may look cute shes a real grump haha. She recently had a random episode of “floppy bunny syndrome” which wasn’t very nice. Currently living with a 2 yr old female guinea pig called Squeaky.

“Ringo” is the latest addition to my ever expanding, ever hungry furry family. He’s a castrated sheltie guinea pig approx 2months old. Was intended as a friend for Squeaky but I think hes still a naughty teen and she doesn’t like him being the mature woman she is. Will keep trying when he’s grown up more. WIsh me luck! Very cute and very spoilt little piggin, An absolute mummys boy.

“Petey” was given to me by someone in my year who needed to get rid of him due to rental issues. I had planned to resell him but..still havn’t been able to bring myself to do it. He’s a very timid bunny and I think he was handled incorrectly by his former owner. He’s very very very slowly becoming more confident. Approx 7 months old. Pfft was meant to be a “purebred netherland dwarf from a registered breeder”.
He may kinda look like one in this pic but trust me he’s not. My rabbit vet laughed when I told her. I believe her words were “wow, u got ripped off”.

Him and Puffy don’t get along (mainly coz he’s not castrated and shes a grump) so after exams finish in 17days 17hrs Im going to build them a humungo rabbit run. It’s going to be completely cat/dog/mosquito proof and provide shade as well. It can be configured as one large enclosure or two seperate enclosures so both bunnies can enjoy the great outdoors!

This is my kitty Bella, She’s 3-4yrs old and still kitten sized, such a sweet girl whos always purring.

These are my five little mouse friends! An all girls group living in a fish tank. hopefully they’ll be upgrading into a larger luxury home very soon.

Thank you so much for listening to my really long rant. I hope you enjoy my pictures and I look forward to getting to know everyone and there bunnies!! ![]()
What a pretty family. Love the cat. She sure does look playful. Oh your fuzzy bun is pretty. Hmm. I am finding the pretty ones are grumpy. Guess they know they are real pretty and can get away with it.
Great introduction and pictures! Welcome to BB! I know we have a couple other users from Perth, too.
Hope to hear from you more!
welcome here! your fur family is BEAUTIFUL!
(and you’re pics are not too big at all, perfect size!)
we have some other AUS members as well…
Welcome!!! What a bunch of cuties you have there! I love the pic of the piggy with the carrot! Too cute!
Welcome, and thanks for the pictures!

Hey Danmers! Welcome! Thanks for all the pictures, great way to introduce yourself and the family. LOL, LOL I LOVE that you have a mouse named Jersey Girl!!!!! Look forward to hearing more about Fluffy and Peter (maybe in 17 days and 17 hrs time
would want to distract you!).
We have 2 other WA members that I know of, and the Aussie contingent keeps growing.
Your pets all look awesome and it’s great that your thinking about Vet science. Very best wishes for your exams. Oh, I remember November 1993 all to well…
Welcome!! Very cute family you have!! ![]()
Great family! Piggies are such royalty, aren’t they? Loved Petey’s photo – just want to give him a treat. Glad to hear there will one day be another vet who understands rabbits and rodents.
your furry friends are adoreable! lucky lucky you ![]()
Best luck for exams! Not long ago now that I was in the same boat…don’t worry once it’s over, it’s over & no use worrying bout it. Something I learned during my exams was the more panic you feel, the less you learn so it’s better just to cruise along & make sure you know what you know really well & what you don’t know, know a little bit of it. Wow, did that make sense?
Good luck! Love the big, ever expanding family btw ![]()
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!!
hehe shes called that because she has a white band aroudn her belly and it makes her look like a furry jersey caramel. Had 1 out of 4 exams today. It was one of those which could go either way, did all the questions but wether they’re right or not is anyones guess hehe.
Made up a mass amount of “gourmet bunny salad” tonight so I don’t have to spend the next couple nights chopping up vegetables. Thought I’d share what dinner at mine looks like (this is a cpl days worth for those people that are wondering why my pets aren’t perfectly spherical)
;
It contains
Capsicum, carrot, (these are treats only in tiny little quantities! –>) summer squash, orange, home grown strawberries, strawberry leaves, rose petals and rose leaves.

And then there’s the buk choy, gai lan and parsley sprigs!!

Colour and organisation makes me happy hahaha
Trying to figure out a “system” of making sure hutches are cleaned as needed, everyone gets regular vet checks, nail clips, vaccinations etc. So please if you have any handy hints or free computer programs which help you keep track of your pets, let me know. It gets exponentially complicated with numerous pets (just had a maths exam, can u tell?)
Thanks guys!!

I named my bunny Jersey after Jersey Caramels too. She has the colouring but not the stripe. She’s more like a caramel sundae!
Good Luck with next 3 exams!
Welcome to BB Damners. I am also from Perth WA. I have 7 Rabbits.
dammers -how many pets are you looking after? I’d love to make a spreadsheet for you! message me kokaneeandkahlua @ binkybunny.com if you’d like one! ![]()
