I know rabbits like to dig and everything but Willow has just recently started digging everything out of her litterbox! It creates such a huge mess! She just started the beginning of this week with it. Even in her cage she digs everything out and it goes flying all over the white carpet. the litterbox in her area she tips over completely and kicks the litter and poo all over the carpet. I don’t know if she’s trying to tell me something? She is always out of her cage besides night and when I’m at school and her diet hasn’t changed so there’s no extra unneeded sugar that would make her hyper…. Anyone know why or anythign about this?

They just like to dig. If you look at the BinkyBunny store on this site they have a grate to put over the litter in the litter boxes for those diggers.

            That’s a good idea.
Also, Samantha did that when I changed her litter. When I tried a new litter she decided she liked, she stopped. So she could be trying to tell ypu something. (It can also mean “clean this sooner. Yuck!”

You might consider making a diggy box too, with shredded newspaper… or giving some fleece blankets she can dig and bunch.

You might also like to try a closed/hooded litterbox like they have for cats where the digging would not cause the litter to fly everywhere.
