shes a poop throwing rabbit. >.>

 this started not to long ago, like 3 weeks ago? anyways. in the middle of night, babs will get into her litter box…. and dig. she throws the litter and poop over the walls and EVERY where. i usualy get the spray water bottle so she doesnt no that im the one doing it, but she hasent learned. i thouht maybe its cuz i had to much litter in there, so i took alot out, but she keeps doing it. what do i do? (i also scream her name and clap really loud when she does. she stops and looks at me, but then starts again)

*i no this should be in a diff thread but i have another question. when i sit with babs, she licks me then she grabs my fingers with her teeth and tries to move them, i usualy tell her no, but is that somthing that shes just gonna do and i shouldnt be getting mad at her? (cuz the teeth are kinda like hands i guess)

taking the fingers in the teeth and moving them either she wants to to pet her or to stop or to move your hand so she can proceed with whatever she has in mind.

the litterbox hmmm. there are high sided ones or can you find a tupperware to use that has high sides ? I heat a nail and push it thru the plastic so I can tie it to the cage so it can’t be turned over.

I use under-the-bed sized rubbermaid totes. You don’t always have to stick with traditional “litter” bins, anything that resembles one will do. Digging in a litterbin is normal – rabbits in the wild dig constantly. Find a bin with high sides and cut down one side if you need to for bunny to get in if it’s too high to hop.

As for the finger-thing, my Fluffy does this all the time. Bunnies use their teeth just like we use our hands so when they want something moved, they pick it up with thier teeth. Babs is either trying to move your fingers or get you to pet her

I HAVE A STURDY PLASTIC GRATE OVER THE BUNS LITTER SO THEY CAN’T DIG IN IT. IT SEEMS TO WORK VERY WELL SO MAYBE THATS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD TRY, PLUS IT KEEPS THEIR FEETS CLEAN

I found one of those cat boxes that has the lip that goes back over the litter. My buns can’t dig it up over the side of it anymore. They seem a lil’ peeved about that.
