  Ok, well I recently started homeschooling and my mom is going to let me volunteer at a shelter!! I wanted to volunteer at a small animal shelter with bunnies, rats, hamsters, etc., but they are an hour away. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a shelter 20-30 miles away from Herndon, VA that allows kids under 16 to volunteer at their shelter that is bunny or small animal based? Thank you!!

  I don’t know of any because I don’t live there, but yahoo, I’m glad that your mom said it would be okay to volunteer. Good Luck with finding somethiing and keep us updated.

  The one that I got Drue at is in Maryland, but it is in Frederick, MD which looks to be about 43 miles away from Herndon.
