My bunny is shedding a lot, I know it is not a molt cause it’s not THAT much fur. I don’t know how to deal with this, any tips?

Its fairly normal for bunnies to shed lightly – mine are in a fairly constant state of shedding!! What are you concerned about? Are you concerned that she is eating too much hair? Or is it making a mess around the house?

To address the concern of your bunny eating too much fur, try giving her a nice groom with a soft brush, or with slightly damp hands so you can get the loose fur off. If you’ve got fur flying all over, I recommend an air purifier, I got one for my bedroom and it prevents fur and dust build-up from accumulating everywhere!

It’s hard on vacuum cleaners, but I think if you vacuum frequently, and clean out the vacuum each time, you’ll keep it working and get much of the fur.

Also, my home made lint brush is a big fat roll of wide masking tape. Wrap it around your hand and stick it to itself, then wipe all surfaces like couches and chairs that have fur there. It will pick it up and be thrown away easily. Where you would normally brush off something, just put the tape around your hand first. (Don’t use it on the bunny, water on your hands is enough. Scene to avoid: “Eek! I have a bunny taped to my arm!”)
