I am reworking my bunny cage and have vinyl tiles to stick to the bottom of the cage. They are supposed to be self stick but keep sliding off. Is there a glue that is strong enough to keep the tiles on but without dangerous ingredients for the buns to be around? They wouldn’t be able to ingest it, but I know some glues have harsh chemicals they shouldn’t be breathing in. Any suggestions?

I’ve read online that the plain white Elmer’s glue is safe to use. Unsure how effective it will be in sticking with the floor. If you want something very durable, would some velcro strips along the edges be sturdy enough? May be nice to be able to remove the carpet for a deeper cleaning.

I think for my bun’s condo I used some heavy duty double stick tape for attaching vinyl tiles to plywood (since I figured the bunnies wouldn’t be in contact with it at all). I think it was actually meant to be used for carpeting but it’s worked well so far (I think it’s been like 6 or 7 years?).

I also “think” that wood glue is non-toxic, but double check on that. It’s basically stronger Elmers so it would prob work?
