        Lil Sailor’s human here!

I want to get Sails a bed! Him just laying around isn’t going to go any good. But I have one concern: fleece.

I’m not gonna beat around that bush, bunny likes to chew. I thought maybe getting him a flat fleece material mat would be decent but I’m cautious that he’ll eat it or something. He once ate a thread from a towel! I won’t make this long, so I’m asking you bunny friends to help me out.

I need something to keep him WARM.
I don’t really want to resort to a mat that he can chew, like a grass matt. He’ll most likely eat right through it. Then again, I’m not sure but my gut says it’ll be to shreds in a day.

I want him to stay warm and safe. If you have any products to recommend, please leave links if that’s possible.

Perhaps there’s a certain kind of material I can look out for? A baby blanket? I think he’d love cotton or a fleece blanket.

He doesn’t really sleep in his little house, he sleeps on top of it. So it doesn’t necessarily have to be a hut or anything.

Though he has something called a snuggle box. It’s a cardboard box with a towel in it, he likes for me to put him in it and he’ll snooze in an old towel, but I always supervise him when he does so. This is for me not supervising him, such as night time and all.

Towels I do have, but I truly want your opinions. This is my first house rabbit and I trust you all have the knowledge to know what’s best for bunny.

Thanks for reading and good vibes to you and your bunnies! <3

The only way to know whether a bunny eats something is to try it. I’d say go for the fleece and then observe

I’ve read that it is harder for buns to tear/chew off a chunk of fleece as opposed to cotton. I think a fleece blanket is definitely worth a try , but as Kurottabun pointed out, just make sure to watch Sailor at first to ensure he doesn’t try to eat the blanket. Luna has a couple fleece blankets, though like most buns, she tends to prefer laying on harder surfaces like the floor.

Thanks for your advice everyone! Turns out he just likes to lay down on a normal surface. The less hassle the more satisfying for both of us! Haha.
