Saturday Craisin took a turn for the worse, I went to sleep around 10 at midnight I woke up to his muffled breathing, cleaned his little nose and sat with him for a bout 20 minutes petting him and just being with him, at around 3 in the morning his breathing got worse…Rocky ran over to him, and his breathing stopped. Sunday was a very very sad day, I went and burried in a beautiful forest near buy, and plan to plant a bush of some sort there. I just thought i should let those of you who knew the story of him know. Take care everyone.
oh amy i’m so very sorry. your plan to plant something as a memorial to craisin is lovely. (((((((((big hugs to you))))))))) binky free craisin
i’m so sorry Amy! you are in my thoughts. i have always loved the stories you’ve told about Craisin and your whole fur family.
(((((Binky Free Sweet Craisin!))))))
I’m so sorry. Crasin is running & playing and knows how much you loved & cared for him.
*** Hugs from Kay, Winston & Sage. ***
I’m so sorry – he had a great life with you. I will light a candle for Craisin so he can find his way over the Rainbow Bridge.
Oh poor Crainsin! I am so sorry to hear of his passing. You were a wonderful bunny mom and thanks to you, Craisin had everything a happy, loving bunny could need. I am sure that, across the Rainbow Bridge, he is binkying through the fields of clover to the strawberry patch that is always in season. Binky free little Craisin…..
My condolences to you. Planting something is a great idea.
***Bunny Hugs***** Very sorry to hear about your sweet little guy and my sincere condolences.
Thank you everyone, I appreciate all of your kind words. I will get some pics up of him & Rocky, they had only been bonded for a month but were very happy together. i swear i’ve all ready had a couple of “visits” from him as well. ![]()
Oh Amy I’m so sorry to hear about Craisin. Just know you were a great mom to him. I don’t remember the story about him. if you can direct me to the link I’d love to refresh my memory. Again, my condolences and take care.
i know this is still so fresh, but do you think you will try and bond Rocky again once you have started to heal? does he seem very upset that Craisin is gone?
I’m so sorry….
hope you’re doing ok…
My deepest sympathies
I am so very very sorry…

I am so sorry you lost your much loved Craisin. (((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))
My condolences on your loss. Gee whiz we are sure losing a lot of beloved bunny friends lately. *teardrop*
Binky free, Craisin. Too many people are losing their bunnies lately, my condolences to you.
I agree there have been far too many bunnies leaving for the bridge lately! None of ours had better get any ideas! We’re so sorry to hear about Craisin, but I’d like to thank you so much Amy for having shared him with us. I still feel like we’re relative newbies here, and getting to know everyone’s bunnies made us feel so at home.

thanks again everyone. I haven’t had much time to look at other posts as of yet, so sad so many are losing beloved buns ![]()
I’m worried about rocky cuz he is sick now…long story but the meds the vet gave me were not for the treatment they needed. I have been to 4 different vets(I have rocky on antibiotics that have never worked for to long a period), and no one wants to listen to me. I think they have had that respitory thing that begins with a “p”, I never remember the name when I am writting but all the vets keep putting them on the same meds and only for 2 weeks and he will start to get better and it comes back. I’m afraid I am gonna lose him. that other little unexpected bun I am having my neighbor watch for now so he doesn’t get sick. So PO’ed, Rocky bonded to Craisin…they shared a cage ya know(craisin was on antibiotics & another med, and she put rocky on the other med…which turned out to be for worms…it’s respitory!!!!)? these are the vets I keep getting told are “great” with rabbits on top of it. excuse my spelling with all of this, am just frustrated and don’t want to lose my Rocky (he’s my soulmate rabbit)
I’m so sorry to hear about Craisin…and it must be frustrating not getting the right treatments from the vet. Were the vets you’ve been to recommended by a rescue, or by friends? Usually the first place I go to for a vet recommendation is a rabbit rescue, but if those have already pointed you in the wrong direction then I’m not sure what else to recommend. Have you returned to one of the vets when Rocky got sick again? Maybe they need to give you a longer prescription of the antibiotics.
Are you thinking pasteurella or pneumonia?
Will any of the vets do a consult with a more rabbit savvy one?
Here is a little info on pasteurella as I am sure it is what you are thinking about and it is likely it spread from Craisin to Rocky:
http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/articles/past.shtml
was thinking of the pasteurella. 2 of the vets were me trying to find rabbit vets closer to me & the other 2 were off of a rabbit rescue site, I have one for personsemi local which is still over an hour away and it’s a real pain in the butt being that i don’t drive (but anything for my little guy)
