hi y’all
i’m new to binkybunny but have lots of rabbits — i have my own and also am very active in rabbit rescue.
i find w/greens that i buy what looks great and is at a good price (organic, i wash everything). i give my guys a variety in their salads, usually at least 3-4 veggies at a time.
organic spring mix is available at costco, also health food stores.
since i feed a variety my guys don’t get too picky. they of course eat their favorites first but all the greens are gone in a flash.
the only thing i have found that most don’t like is mustard greens, but they like everything else.
right now i have in the frig: organic spring mix, fennel, chard (red & rainbow, they also like green), baby bok choy, dill, cilantro, italian parsley. others that i buy regularly are green peppers, lettuce (red, green, butter and occasionally romaine), kale, dandelions, celery.
if you have bunz new to greens, i find that they all pretty much take to carrot tops, dandelions, parsley (regular or italian). if they are already on greens you can just increase the variety and keep offering it.
my experience is that the key is to offer lots of variety, that way they don’t get tired of anything and thus aren’t picky.
hope that helps!
