i’ve had my bunny for almost a month now. within the last few days though, she has started to run around my feet when she’s out. and when i think she’s done and i try to walk away, she comes back to do it some more…and i’ve almost stepped on her because of that!

        any reason for this?

It is time to ask the age old first question – Is she spayed yet?

If not, this is her hormones beginning to kick in and she’s ‘courting’ you. It is time to go to the vet to have her altered.

            not yet.

we took her to the vet a week after we got her, for a check-up. the vet said she was still too young to tell if she’s female or male, but assuming she is in fact female. we have a follow-up on april 2, and then we’ll talk about spaying.

From what I understand, that means that they LOVE you! Mostly done by unfixed bunnies but my fixed bunnies do sometimes when they are going to get a treat or are just really happy that day!

My boy Vader does that too lol I nearly step on him all the time :/ But so far he’s been pretty quick about getting out from under my big clumsy hoomin feet.

Love her name btw… DMB Now it’s stuck in my head lol

ahaha classic! Indy does that to me ALL the time and he is neutered. I like leading him around the room, hes just runs and follows until i get to the tile then he just looks at me like why did you do that!? I think I am more amused by this game than he is, but we enjoy it… its how you know you are doing something right!

I’m not sure in girl bunnies. But my Rabbit book explained that Male bunnies can tell gender and will try to court someone to mate. My bun chose my mother. We are currently living together, so she likes to come say hi to my bun. Before he was fixed he would go crazy over her feet, and try to mount them. does occasionally still do it, but its more of a play thing.

Monkey dances around my feet when I come to give her dinner. She’s very happy to see me then

My fixed male STILL does this, especially if I’ve been sitting a while and then get up. And yeah, he has smacked into my leg pretty hard because he’ll dart at me so quick I don’t realize he’s in my path. Doesn’t seem to faze him though.
