        1) I can log back on *whooo hoooo* thanks to the admin staff for fixing whatever needed to be fixed

        2) I picked up Rufus last night and his whole mouth area was a mess, I would say the spurs are back.  So I rang the vet and they said to get him to them today (have a 4.30pm app) they will look at him and if they believe it is needed they will hold him overnight and operate on his mouth again tomorrow.  I am so depressed about this as I thought he was doing really well on the hay cubes are they make up 90% of his diet and he is putting on weight and I thought you know we where getting somewhere but I guess not.  i am sitting at work trying not to cry and hoping that maybe he is just having a drool day or something

If it’s genetics I guess there is only so much you can do in preventative measures. He just might need these routine trims. He was in a lot worse way when you first got him though. It’s good you are able to pick up the signs and get him seen.

            Oh no. Poor Rupert.

If it’s malalignment, there is really only so much you can do with hay. He still gets regular hay too, right? Hay cubes won’t help his teeth as much as the longer, fibrous stalks of hay. In hay cubes, the hard work (grinding the hay) has already been done.

Don’t cry! At least it is his mouth and not something they have to do a real internal operation on.

                    Vibes to you and Rufus!

No word yet, saw the vet last night and they wanted to keep him in over night for obersvation (and also I could get not back out there to drop him off today) and will operate today. He does not eat hay at all and the hay cubes are the best I can get him to eat so I know we are fighting a losing battle but I really thought that he had another month in his teeth.

Try not to think negatively, he may do well after the operation. Bunnies can be just as amazing with recovery as they can be with getting ailments.

Ok he came home, came through like a champ. Seems one of his abcesses had erupted through his gum so they cleaned it the best they could and he is now on injections every second day and has to go back in two weeks. She also gave me CDs with pictures of his x-rays and also pictures of his mouth which was kind of cool. he is back to his normal self but I am feeling sick now, might have something to do with the fact that I just spend all the Xmas money that I had saved up for my presents on my rabbit (the whole $750 of it!)

Nice thing was the vet said that if I did not take him when I did he would have been dead by now so it made the bill a little less stingy!

Ouch! $750!. Well, lets hope those not receiving a gift have good will towards bunnies. Maybe make up a card featuring Rufus and tell them this year you donated toward a good cause in their name.

Would you mind loading up his x-rays sometime? I like to look at them, though rarely understand them. :p
