Ruby loves to pee

WEll since they bonded  I let Cotton and Ruby sleep together 2 nites now. They did good however Miss Ruby peed once in their house not in the  litterbox.  And this morning I saw she peed twice and not in the litterbox. Also I saw a doggone cecal a sticky poop smushed up in the lip of Cotton’s shelf. GRRRR..  I took the cage apart and cleaned n cleaned.  I had to get a tooth pick to get that sticky poop outta there it was so smuched under that lip.   I fussed the whole time.

I am wondering if she will stop once things smell like her.  She had peed all over the floor for a few days then stopped. She had also left sticky poop here n there a few times too til everything smelled like her and Cotton.   I guess she was too excited to eat them. New territory and being together with Cotton were all new to her. 

I was going to put her in her house at nites again and let Cotton have his all to himself.  Then I am also wondering that this should stop once she gets the cage to smell lke her.  I dont’ know what to do.  Any ideas? 

Also I see her go to her cage when I leave the xpen to the kitchen open.  She can’t get in it tho cause the door is on top. I wonder if she misses it.

Another thing they do when I leave the xpen open is go together to check out stuff then when I come and say ok now go back they look then run off together back into the living room.

Is there only one litterbox for the both of them. I find many times that when rabbits eat together, they start on the same poo routine, and if only one box is available, they won’t go in the box while another is in there. And even if there are two boxes, sometimes you have to change it so the boxes are near each other.

Ok.  I have no way to put 2 litterboxes in there next to each other.  I put 1 big litterbox in there now. Hopefully that will work.  After Ruby’s snip I will try them sleeping together again.

Also I noticed it is Cotton who pees in the corner next to his litterbox. Another reason to put a bigger litterbox in there. To cover that corner. Hope this works. I will also put Rubys box in there too once she is fixed.  I noticed some spraying in the corner where her box used to be.

I let them play together when I am home til after her snip cause I come home and see hair all over. Soon though things will be normal again.
