Rowan passed away Christmas Eve morning…

We went out the feed him and take him outside for a little walk and he was gone. His body was cold and hard. It looked like he just fell asleep and never woke up! He looked so peaceful… it broke my heart. He was only six months old… I don’t know what happened.

So we spent out Christmas Eve digging a grave under one of my favorite trees. He rests in peace under there now.

oh no, I’m so very, very sorry about Rowan. I lost an older one like that a while back and I know it is a great shock, especially when it’s such a young baby. It had to be so hard to up him to rest on Christmas day too. (((((hugs from us all))))))))) Kathy

I am so sorry for your loss-how shocking-out of the blue It’s always hard but it’s harder imo when they just leave us like that. Rowan couldn’t have asked for a better home or a more loving mom-rest assured you were there for him.

I probably won’t be getting a new bunny for a while, I don’t plan on it. I have had two bunny losses this year and it just hurts. I am not ready for another. So I’m going to take a break for a while. See where life takes me.

Ditto what K&K just said. I lost Spockie before I found this website, and it was such a comfort to see others’ bunnies that I got to know. It was that need for a daily dose of bunny company that the pictures and stories filled. I coudn’t get another bun for 8 months, and yet they welcomed me here daily, and the excitement for me when I found Sammy was palpable. So please stick around regularly, or whenever you need a bunny fix. We’re here to help and to share.
