Porky has started vopping around me in tight circles.  he does it when I’m standing still or sitting.  he will alternate clockwise and counter clockwise.  So far, I’m the only family member he has done it to, but that may mostly be b/c I’m the only family member who sits or stands still long enough for him to get going.

Is this common in house bunnies?  I’ve never seen a bunny do it before, but 20 years ago when I was last involved with bunnies, they weren’t usually let loose in the house at all so had little oportunity to do this sort of thing.

if unspayed or not neutered rabbits do this. It means ” there in love with you”. Its a hormone thing and should go away after being spayed, although my rabbit will sometimes do this when she sees i have food.

Yep! Your rabbit ‘loves you’ and it isn’t in the way you think

My spayed female occasionally will run circles around me while I’m sitting at the dining room table. She usually just wants pets. If bunny is unfixed, this behavior is likely the cause.

Yep, it’s cute at first… until they start nibbling on your ankles and spraying you with urine. That’s when the REAL fun starts. ;o)

Haha, my bunnies (who are both neutered) do this every time they get pellets or veggies. It can be an excitement thing as well

I agree- I have read bunny behavior books that all say that this means “LOVE”, especially if they are really happy, too. My bunny does it usually after he’s been out playing and getting treats and pets for me. He did just start nipping at my pantlegs too, but I keep a spray water bottle handy to use after a NO.

It’s pretty cute. My husband asked me about this behavior when Buckley started doing it to him, and I was jealous!! Then he started circling me too!

Bingley does this all the time and he has been fixed for almost nine months now! He usually want attention when he does it becuase after a while he’ll try to “climb” my leg, then he’ll dig on it, and if I’m wearing jeans I normally don’t notice….but then he bites. Lol

Its just the cycle of bunny love!

It’s probably the “I love you” dance. Otto did this to me once or twice when he was younger. He now does it to Hannah once in a while, though he’s been neutered for almost two years. It’s so cute! If I turn off the tv and listen he sometimes makes a faint honking sound while he does it.
