I know it was recalled back in November and I’ve been avoiding it like the plague ever since. My bun loves it though. Has anyone heard if its safe to eat again?

Romaine gets recalled several times a year due to ecoli, typically during the colder months. There are only about 2 farms in the US that grow it this to it of year in Yuma, AZ and another one that I can’t remember where it is. There seem to be serious and reoccurring issues near these farms with contamination from nearby animal farms. I never saw it recalled here this year actually and have been feeding it with no problems. Your grocery store should not be selling anything that has been recalled. That said if you are concerned I think other farms start growing around March or so and you could wait a couple more months.

I have been feeding it as well. I think the last recall was one specific farm that was pulled from shelves right away? Prob safest to inquire with your grocery store to see where they are sourcing their lettuce.
