I feel so broken, George wasn’t getting any better with antibiotics and struggling to breath, took him to the vets and they said he had a virus and nothing can be done so I made the heartbreaking decision to end his suffering!
I was there for him and was cuddling him and snuggled into his neck. I couldn’t see him suffering as that was so hard to see, he was only 7months old and he was the most loved and pampered rabbit but I just feel like I let him down even though I tried everything I could to make him better ?

I’m very sorry you lost George. If you are in Europe, there are three known viruses that are deadly to rabbits. There’s no cure for those illnesses. It was brave of you to let him go.

Please don’t feel like you let him down. As you said, you did everything you could to help him. He knows you did your best for him.

As bam said. You were brave to let him go. Relieving the suffering isn’t always as simple a decision as it sounds on paper.

We are sorry you lost George as well.
