FORUM HOUSE RABBIT Q & A RHDV2 Vaccine approved in Austalia.

        At long last, the Filavac vaccine for RHDV2 has been approved for use in Australia. It’s been approved under an emergency directive (7 years too late for the emergency, lol) but it’s approved until 2024, I’m guessing it allows time for proper approval.

              7 years seems about right for a government process lol.

              Cynic that I am, I didn’t think itd ever get approved and stopped following the campaigns. It’s must be such a relief for those who kept at it. Kudos to them!

              I’m at vet tomorrow evening with a foster so I may have to suss him out on timelines for when it should be expected in clinics. Poor guy is allergic to rabbits 😄 so he might dread multiple-rabbit-vax days if that how best to go about it.  He may need a Hazmat suit.

                Yes I rang my vet last week but she said they didn’t  have a time frame on when they would receive the vax so couldn’t even have a waiting list yet.
