Hi all, I am new to the forum but not new to owning bunnies.
I rescued my bun from a well known animal rescue charity (he was kept in a drawer with 7 other rabbits before they got to him!), he is a four year old white lop and I’m not sure of exact breed. He was neutered 2 weeks ago.
So far he seems to be settling in well and is well behaved, no chewing of the furniture or wires so far!
He lives in a cage (free roam when I’m in the house) he also has a litterbox in there which he uses pretty well, but he also pees in the opposite corner of the cage to the tray. I’ve done the usual and cleaned it up and put the tissue in the litterbox and put white vinegar down so that he can’t smell his scent, however the next morning he is peeing in the same place again, this also happens if I put the litterbox in the corner he is choosing to pee in.
This goes for the same when he is out and about, he uses the litter tray sometimes but other times wil pee in the corner which is about 50inches away from his litter tray. When I put the litter tray in that corner he will then pee where the original space for the litter tray was.
Any advice would be appreciated. I’m not sure if I’m expecting too much from him as this is all new to him and he’s only just been neutered?! Cream carpets were a bad choice for having a house rabbit on lol!!

Both being in a new environment and being recently neutered can cause a bunny to have wonky litter habits. Rabbits poop and pee everywhere in a new environment to mark their territory; a post-neuter hormonal spike that occurs after a neuter is also very common because their little bodies are in the process of regulating itself. Some bunnies take months to go back to normal after a neuter.

You can always add another litter box to the other corner if he has two favourite spots
