new1bunny  Posts: 127	05/06/2011 06:46 PM   hi all. remember she ran out of her alfla hay, and I had to wait till the next day to get more. well, the next day I got more and while putting it in her bowl, she nipped me. Never bite the hand that feeds you. no, really I am not going to kill her, I understand she was just hungry, she did not draw blood or anything, it was it a nip, (first on ever). I got paid today, but after paying the bills and all there was no time to go to the vet, so I have to wait till next week, but I have the money put up and saved for both, dandela and blaze. just wanted to give you an update. did not mean to scare you. ***Your title was edited to prevent alarm and to better describe what this post is about***

Michelle&Lolli  Posts: 1619	05/06/2011 06:57 PM   Eddie nipped me all the freaking time. I really did want to kill him sometimes. LOL I never would but he sure did make me mad sometimes. Lolli nips too but rarely and it’s more if I’ve done something she doesn’t like. Like clipping her nails and she’s decided she done with that nonsense. She does growl when I feed her though. There is no one to mess with her or her food, but she still growls. lol
OneTwoThree  Posts: 233	05/06/2011 08:07 PM   This is a really lame title…  Bunnys nip. They’re a lot like kids that way, they put everything in their mouths. It’s even normal for them to break the skin the first couple of times, until they learn better control. You didn’t feed her for a day, she showed you her displeasure the only way she could.

Bunnies might nip from time to time, some more than others and for different reasons. If this happens again, don’t immediately drawback, just let out a sudden, loud, high-pitched “shriek”. This will express to her that what she did hurt you. If you are holding her at the time, do not put her down because she will learn that if she wants down, all she has to do is bite. Never hit her.

For the other members who mentioned that the title was “lame” and inappropriate, rather than stating that in the thread, please alert us PRIVATELY. That info remains confidential and will not be shared.
