Our trio was getting along great, lots of snuggles and cuddles and kisses, but then hurricane Irma had to roll in and mess things up. I don’t know if it was the actual weather, or the activity, or the crazy stressed vibe in the air, or the moving of furniture in and out of the house… but after all that, our boys started peeing around their massive bunny condo, then started getting mildly aggressive and jealous, then a full out fight happened. We are rebounding on neutral territory and we are taking it slow and giving them time, and it’s going well. But, I’d like to reset their shared bunny area – remove all traces of scent marking and territories. I know vinegar is great but my husband is extremely sensitive to the smell of vinegar, plus I have a pretty massive bunny condo with two custom cut carpets in it so the goal would be to remove scent markings from these too. What else, besides vinegar, can be used? How can I reset an area so that it seems like a neutral territory? Would sunshine help? Essential oils? Cat urine remover? Dog urine remover? Oxyclean? I know I need to soak, wash, and wipe down everything and I’d really like to not have to use vinegar for it all.
