So I’m going to be moving soon and until we get our new house built, we need somewhere to keep my bunny. Our first idea was to get a little outdoor hunch, but a friend offered to keep hope at her place, But Hope has already warmed up to me, and is used to living in my room. Would it be too stressful for her to randomly get put in a whole new environment with new people for around 3 months? I would rather her have a safe place indoors, and I would visit her often, but I’m still having anxiety about stressing her out and making her sad bc she thinks I’m giving her to someone new, and I could be wrong I’m just stressing. Anyone have any ideas?

She will probably be stressed at first being in a new environment with new people, but I think it’s worth it to make sure she’s safe and indoors. She’s not used to living outside in a hutch either so that would be similarly stressful for her anyway. I would take your friend up on her offer. 🙂

I agree with Hazel. 🙂 Since it is for a longer period, she will acclimate to the new home and will appreciate being indoors with people.

When I go on trips longer than a week or so I usually take my bunnies to their pet-sitter’s home, and they settle in after about 2 days. They don’t seem to harbor any hard feelings towards me afterward, aside from maybe a few thumps when we get back home. 😉

It would be good to make sure your friend knows all the ins and outs of bunny care, especially health-related things to look out for (stasis warning signs, gas, etc.).
