that’s fantastic that you had Sully neutered, hope he’ll be feeling much better soon. males seem to recover much more quickly than females. He’s likely to be sore for several days though. the biggest thing to pay attention to – is he eating? if he’s not then you know he’s in pain, so call the vet. You may try to entice him with especially yummy veggies like dill, basil or radish tops if he’s not enthusiastic about food.
Inspect the incision morning and evening. After a neuter, the scrotum may swell with fluids. Warm compresses will help, but it is nothing to be overly concerned about. With any sign of infection, take the rabbit to the veterinarian immediately. You don’t need to touch the incisions, but should be able to tell if there’s a problem by sight.
I would play it by ear to see how long to confine him, he may not need the full 7 days, but it’s better to err on the side of caution.
