Dont split up humping. Humping is acceptable unless it becomes excessive (more than 20 seconds). Nipping is also acceptable, just a side note. They nip and hump to figure out their hierarchy. If they cant figure out their hierarchy, they wont bond properly and youll likely see a fight as outcome.
Its good that theyre getting along again and seem to be moving fast. Always go at their speed, even if you have to back up a step.
Things that should be considered required before you allow them to move in together again:
First, 8+ hours no aggression in a small neutral space for atleast 3 days in a row.
Second, 8+ hours no aggression in a larger neutral space for atleast 3 days in a row.
Third, 8+ hours no aggression in a semi neutral space for atleast 3 days in a row.
Fourth, 8+ hours no aggression in their final space (cage, pen, room, ect) for atleast 3 days in a row.
Optional but recommended, spend a full 48 hours with them while theyre in their final space to make sure they dont fight before leaving them alone.
