My bun’s are finally back together after a few months of being apart to be neutered etc! So they have been bonded for about 2-3 weeks now.. very smooth and quick bonding no problems at all!!

They are inside for the winter now and share a large indoor cage.. when i come home from work i open the door to let them come out .. they have this option all evening but sometimes they never come out! Its probably been 2 days with only a little hop around here and there.

Is it normal for two buns to be this content and quiet after bonding? they seem happy enough.. grooming, eating and snuggling at the same time all the time.

I guess i feel like im not needed anymore lol! Just worried.. they are so quiet!

Here is how they are right now… cant be bothered to exercise!!

          They look so happy together!!

I have heard that when you bond 2 bunnies they sometimes pay more attention to each other than their human companions, so maybe that’s what happened? As long as they are eating/drinking/pooping I wouldn’t worry They look very cute together!

they are so cute. they look very happy!! You are giving me hope for my boys. I had to separate them 2 weeks ago for fighting. but they still lay next to each other against their cages. I hope after their neutered next month they bond like your bunnies!! congrats!!!

Thanks!! Even though they were separated I still did let them see eachother.. We had supervised play dates (so no babies were made) However after Ralph got fixed.. Rosie would still hump him like no tomorrow… We still kept it going but for shorter periods of time so things didn’t get out of hand. Luckily only a week of Rosie being spayed they were snuggled to together with only the odd dominance hump here and there.
I really do think my tip would be having play dates here and there. I think it helped my two.

I’m glad you didn’t have an accident while giving them supervised playdates, but I really must caution against this. It only takes a moment for bunnies to “get together” and it’s far too risky.

They were watched constantly and More play dates happened after Ralph was neutered. Obviously people know how their own rabbits behavior/ personalities are like and what may work for some may not with others. Them being in contact with each other, whether it be in cages, mesh separating them or not. I had my two from babies.. They had to be separated at 10 weeks.
I do believe it made their bonding smoother to of always known each other was there.
