I’ve dismantled one of the outside runs, and used four of the panels to give Gina an extension to her space in the dining room. She’s happy, Jenny and Pippi not so impressed!

As soon as it was done, I put some pellets, which both girls go mad for, over the floor, in such a way that they had to eat almost as if they weren’t separate. Hopefully, over time, they will get on better, as they get used to eating along side each other, but if not, at least Gina has a fairer share of space, and can jump in and out of her cage.

After the pellets were gone, Gina tucked into some hay, and Jenny had a good drink.

It sounds like a great set-up and so much better for Gina who does seem like a girl who needs space to move about in!

If only she would listen to me when I tell her she’d get loads more floor time if only she’d stop trying to fight the other two. Hopefully it’ll come in time…

Looks like a great set up. Sharing food is great for establishing positive relationships amoung buns.

Jenny seems to have got over being so cross with me from last night’s re-arranging, and Pippi was closer to his normal appetite this morning, so maybe the re-arranging has helped him accept Rusty won’t be back?

I let Gina through to the living room for her morning floor time. Once she settled down in a hay box to eat, I popped her back into her bit of the dining room, and we promptly got synchronized water drinking from the girls, while Pippi thankfully ate some hay…

Cue living room time for Pippi and Jenny, while I took these two shots, to show more clearly the new divide. The run section is cleverly hinged, so I can open it for easyish access.

Hopefully, they will get more used to being in close proximity, and will eventually be possible to bond as a trio.

                  Grass time

They are definitely more interested in eating than fighting

I’ve added a hay rack to the set up, in such a way that all three bunnies are sharing it, and all three have to put a bit of effort into getting the ‘good’ hay.

the girls seem to be enjoying stretching their legs, Pippi is being cheeky and either waiting for a good piece to fall, or even snatching a bit from Jenny’s mouth!
