I have finally RE-boned the rabbits and have took their two cages.. broke them down.. and rebuilt them into one GIGANTIC rabbit palace.

It is 5 grids tall…. and it’s a corner cage… so from the corner is it is 4 grids long along each wall from the corner… and 2 grids deep…..

I then added 1 more grid onto the 4 long and made a shelf for all their “stuff”…..

So far they LOVE IT….. BUT even though there is 3 litter pans in there…they still want to pee and poo  wherever they choose…. ugh

        Enjoy!

VERY COLORFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! What a good idea to use the corner space for more room… without coming out into the room any further.

Wow that is huge! Very cool.

Maybe one litter pan on the very bottom so they never have to climb far to reach one?

Thanks! There are four levels including the floor…. I have one pan on the floor then one on the 3rd level and another on the 4th level since they don’t really care for the 2nd level….. And they still pee and poop outside of it… perhaps it will stop once they get more used to it… they just moved in on Monday…. I hope!

Oh…My…God!  That is tall!!  *hides pictures from husband*  I can see the light bulb above his head now…no we are not going up to the ceiling with our cage, it’s already taking over horizontally   That is very nice though, love it!

Wowee! I love how colorful it is! now I want to decorate my cage so it looks like that!

For the litter training, maybe you could limit them to the bottom of the cage with a litter pan until they have established where the litter pan is. It might just be them marking their new territory.

I’m happy to hear the bond is mended! Would you mind updating in the Bonding section about what you did to achieve this?

Condo looks fantastic! I have always admired the corner L shape ones, such good use of space. The 4th pic looks different. Do the centre panels open outward? You are probably experiencing a bit of marking new space plus poop wars from bonding. Fingers crossed this wears off soon.

One last thing….is the cage to the left their old habitat or another furbaby?

Oh yes, I will make an update to that. The 2 middle doors that are out in the 4th pic can be moved all the way in like they are in the first 3 pictures or they can come out like that and be locked… I usually leave them out like that during the day so when they want to come down and out of the cage to play I just pull it open…it is a little easier.
The cage to the left in a 3 level Ferret Nation Rat Cage… I had 7 rats..but sadly only have one girl left… she is getting a little sick now as she nears age 3… so after she passes I am taking the giant cage down, and I am taking a rat-break… they live for such a short period of time… it is tough… I am going to focus on the bunnies for now
