  So this is a bit awkward but I have a rabbit who’s about 8-9 months old. He’s a boy. Anyway, he has a history of humping all of my animals (including my pitbull….lol) so i just usually keep him away from the other animals. He’s not neutered and I don’t plan on getting him neutered as I don’t have any other rabbits and he’ll never be around any female rabbits. Well, earlier I was cleaning out his litter and cage and he hopped in to see what I was doing, then his tail started twitching and he ejaculated…. right on the newly vacuumed floor. (lol) He was in the room with me the entire time and from what I could see, he wasn’t humping anything. It was just kind of all of a sudden. He was just hopping around me and rolling a ball around then he waltzed into his cage and let loose.. Is this a normal bunny behavior?? I know he’s young and still sexually maturing but it just seemed kind of odd to me since it came out of nowhere.

  It’s going to keep happening unless he’s fixed tbh. Sexual behavior is only quelled by getting neutered.

  He may calm down eventually as he ages. But most people don’t wait that long (i.e. they break down and have the bunny neutered) if the bunny is exhibiting strong hormonal behaviors because it can become unbearable. Think pee sprayed halfway up the wall…
